19th July 2004 – Cooyar – Toowoomba / Kingaroy District, Queensland

Situated on the New England Highway between Yarraman and Crows Nest, Cooyar is a small village that has a beautiful park with a swinging bridge. Located behind the hotel, is a park with shelter sheds, water tanks, BBQ’s and shade trees adjacent to the swinging bridge. Opposite the hotel is a toilet block in Drovers Rest Park. Power is available at the swinging bridge and the key for the power board ($5.00 refundable) is available at the hotel. Donations for the use of power can also be made at the hotel. This spot is also noted for the platypus and turtles in the creek adjacent to the camping area. We recommend this quiet spot for an overnight stopover. The maximum allowable stay at this park is 48 Hours.
