Another great place to spend some time, Lake Boondooma is currently brimming with Red Claw but the fish are very evasive. There are plenty of sites in the off season, some with power, and plenty of fresh town water. The hot showers are kept clean as are the septic toilets. There is a Kiosk for supplies such as bread, milk and fishing gear. The road all the way from Proston to both the lake and the dam is tarred and further on from the lake camping area is the dam itself. Powered camping sites are also available there but the boat ramps are back at the lake. With the recent rain, this location is a sailor’s paradise.
