16th August 2010 - Linville Village Rest Area

Linville is reached by turning North off the D’Aguilar Highway at Moore and driving along a sealed road to a camping site at the old railway station opposite the pub. The area is well grassed and level and a septic toilet is close by. Power and water are available if required. There is a general store that has basic provisions and daily newspapers. The old railway line is part of a “rail trail” that goes from Blackbutt, through Benarkin to North of Linville and is popular with horse riders, walkers and push bikers. A nice quiet place to spend a night or two amongst the rugged mountain ridges.
