19th June 2010 - Oakey Creek Reserve Rest Area

Located about 5k South of Bowenville in the Dalby / Toowoomba District, this vast open well grassed area has some shade trees and plenty of level sites for camping. The local council patrols this site to prevent vandalism and squatters setting up permanent camps. The toilets are septic and have recently been painted. No water other than the creek water is available so bring plenty of fresh water with you. Shelter sheds, tables, and bins are provided at this site
