9th November 2008 - Mount French Campground - Moogerah Peaks National Park

Located 9k west of the signpost just south of Boonah along a tar sealed Mount French Road, is Mount French (Frog Buttress) Campground . Facilities include septic toilets, water, fireplaces, tables and excellent walk-in campsites. At the entrance to the park are several parking bays suitable for a couple of caravans and small Motorhomes. There are two easy walking tracks; one takes you to a lookout with spectacular views over Boonah and surrounding districts, the other to another lookout and an astounding rest area with a bench seat to enjoy the views of surrounding mountains. If staying in Boonah, we recommend a trip out to this park for an overnight stay or a picnic lunch. We stayed overnight here in one of the parking bays in amongst tall gum trees and had a quite night.
