Access to the entrance is along Scarborough Road opposite Edwin Street and a full time caretaker is in attendance . This is a large, mostly level area with some shady spots along the fence line. Hot showers, a dump point, town water, sewerage toilets and power are all available. A 15 to 20 minute walk takes you to the beachfront, pool, and main shopping centre where there is an RSL club, a long jetty and a level, cement walking path along the beachfront. Buses run to Brisbane and the local shopping centres from outside the grounds.
